Great pair of shorts - I use my shorts cycling and they hold up just fine. The shorts are light weight and come with a lining which seems to be standard with the better quality shorts. I d easily buy another pair or three.

Great shorts! Worth every penny . . .but spendy - Being conformity challenged, I made a radical choice several decades ago. It was a time when the first inklings of pernicious female inquiry, boxers or briefs? had begun to rear its ugly widdle head. After trying commando for a time . . .and discovering what the chafing thing is all about, I began wearing running shorts.I was in midst of a 20 year house builder career in Hawaii at the time . . .and was inordinately fortunate to have most of my work on beach properties. I made a point to give my crews a break from the hot, dusty, sawdust sticky work every few hours . . .and most of my workers followed my example of shedding my work shorts and running to the ocean for a swim . . .followed by a rinse-off with the work site water hose.Running shorts as underwear made this part of our workday possible. The shorts would usually dry quickly enough to keep from soaking through work shorts when they were put back on . . .and the running shorts themselves were sufficiently acceptable to keep from offending the delicate sensibilities of neighbors and beach goers.These shorts are some of the best I have owned. They are more substantial than some of the more Lycra-esque types I have purchased in years past, and have enhanced levels of public sensibility construct. Although I still long for the days when a pair of running shorts/underwear were less than ten dollars . . .these shorts are worth every penny. Shipping from this merchant was lightening fast and the entire experience was so smooth I will be buying more from them in the future.Update: 0906/2008 - 15 months later. These shorts have begun to lose the elastic around the leg openings. This gives opportunity for one s dangly bits to lose support and wander. The thrifty side of my nature would have liked the elastic to last longer, although with my every day use (not just one pair, mind you) I would have to consider these shorts have lived a full and productive life.
